We prepared dispersant to increase the silica dispersibility in styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) composites. The dispersant were synthesized by copolymerizing, carboxylized acrylic monomer (CAM) with acrylamide comonomer. The optimum were evaluated by investigating the properties of rubber composites prepared with a poly(CAM-co-acryl amide) dispersant input contents of 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 phr, respectively. The silica loading content in SBR/silica composites was determined using thermal gravimetric analysis. We also investigated curing characteristics, morphology, payne effect of the SBR/silica composites according to the input contents of poly(CAM-co-acryl amide) dispersant. As a result, we were able to compare the effect of silica dispersion in the composites. We found that the optimal content of dispersants for SBR/silica composites showed better performances than SBR/silica composites with non-dispersant. |
