Super Wetting Surfaces Made by Silsesquioxane/Polymer Layer-by-Layer Assembly with Enhanced Durability |
초록 |
There have been numerous reports of super-wettability, ranging from super-hydrophilicity to super-hydrophobicity, arise from their diverse potential applications. But there are some drawbacks owing to their fragility of microscopic structure and chemical contamination that is vital to retain super-wettability. We focused on improving durability of super-wetting surfaces by introducing organosilicate compound that has high thermal and mechanical stability as component of the films. To developing these coating for high-value added biomedical application, nano-scale thickness is essential because of gradual miniaturization of biomedical devices. Layer-by-Layer assembly is used for multilayer fabrication method that can exquisitely control morphology, thickness and functionality of nano-coating, to fabricate suitable structure for super-wettable surface though simple dipping and washing steps. Anti-bacterial and cytotoxic properties of fabricated super-wetting surfaces were also studied. |
