Super-hydrophobicity of solid surfaces is the one of the unique surface properties and essential in many surface-related applications. Conventionally, super-hydrophobic surfaces have been produced mainly in two ways. Here, two different types of nanoscale surface textured films were fabricated. First, aluminum oxide layers were fabricated onto Al using an anodic oxidation method, showing vertically ordered columnar pores. On the AAO layers onto the supporting Al residues, first, polymer thin films were laminated and pressured with different forces. Then, the imprinted polymer films were delaminated with different ways to control the aspect ratio of nanopiles. In contrast, nano textured oxide surfaces could be directly produced from the AAO layers by controlling pore widening time. Then, the textured AAO surfaces were modified with chemically cross-linkable organic molecules to introduce the hydrophobicity. |
