Flame retardant silicone rubber silicone rubber (SR) composites, using fire-proof fillers as flame retardant have been prepared by a two-roll mill. Moreover, black iron oxide were used as a synergist. Black iron oxide can absorb oxygen at high temperatures and generate water to impart flame retardancy to the silicone rubber. In this work, the fire performance of a wollastonite and black iron oxide silicone rubber composites were investigated and analyzed for thermal, mechanical, and insulation properties. |
