Preparation and characterization of glucosylated polyethylenimine gene carrier for tumor-targeting |
| 초록 |
Polyethylenimine(PEI) has been shown to mediate effective in vitro and in vivo gene transfer despite drawbacks of toxicity and poor in vivo targeting. Therefore, to overcome these drawbacks, glucosylated PEI (Glc-PEI) was prepared and characterized for tumor targeting gene carrier. Glc-PEI has no cytotoxic effect on cells even up to higher concentration compared with unsubstituted PEI. Also, tumor targeting efficiency of Glc-PEI was enhanced by incorporation Glc into PEI. Specific delivery of Glc-PEI/plasmid complex to tumor site was successfully achieved after intravenous injection.
