Coencapsulation of Tocopherol and Ascorbic acid into Ethosomes and Their Physico-chemical Properties |

Coencapsulation of hydrophobic tocopherol and hydrophilic ascorbic acid into ethosome was carried out for improving their oxidative stability and making cosmetic application. The change of particle size and encapsulation efficiency of ethosome with constituent composition was examined. The formation of liquid crystalline phase and its thermal properties were investigated by polarized optical microscopy and DSC. Oxidative stability of ascorbic acid by encapsulation into ethosome was verified through DPPH test. The stability of vesicle phase was also enhanced by ascorbic acid and tocopherol coencapsulation. |
