Sensor system fabrication for dopamine using quercetin-bound polydiacetylene |

Polydiacetylenes (PDAs) have been widely investigated as smart sensing materials because of their unique optical properties. The sensor system for dopamine was fabricated using the quercetin-bound PDA in this study. Quercetin was bound to the synthesized diacetylene compound which had epoxy functional group. Using this compound the vesicle system was formed by sonication. This vesicle system showed the color change from blue to red by dopamine addition. The selectivity to analogous compounds of dopamine was measured. The detection was confirmed by UV spectroscopy and confocal laser scanning microscopy and the detection limit was also measured. |
