Recently, the regulations of atmospheric pollutants have been tightened in the environmental field. NOx is a generic term for the nitrogen oxides that are most relevant for air pollution. Selective catalytic reduction (SCR) catalysts have been used to remove NOx. Commercially, V2O5-WO3/TiO2 catalyst were applied for the SCR catalysts, however, they have been suffered with low NOx removal efficiency under the presence of water. In this study, the surface of SCR catalyst was treated with silanization process. The SCR catalyst was synthesized by impregnation method, and the surface of SCR catalyst was coated through the vaporization of silane. The synthesized catalysts were evaluated through fixed bed reactor, and they were characterized by SEM, XRD, NH3-TPD, and FT-IR. The prepared catalyst showed enhanced NOx removal efficiency compared to the raw SCR catalyst, and the process may be applied to the various fields that require the hydro-resistive properties of catalytic surface. |
