Activated carbon prepared from biomass waste attracts comparable interests because of their useful commercial applications including their adsorption properties. Since most of these researches are based on case by case study, however, there is some limitation. Here, we systematically approached the preparation and characterization of activated carbon from three different types of biomass materials, coffee grounds, peanut hulls, and sawdust. Additionally, we compared adsorption abilities of several organic vapors onto activated carbons from biomass waste and their oxidized forms. |
