Ruthenium oxide (RuO2) has been widely used for different applications because of its good catalytic properties in electrochemical, such as chlorine and oxygen evolution, and photo-chemical, such as water decomposition, processes. Despite their excellent OER performance, the relative high cost of this material render its long term use as electrode materials for water electrolyser impractical. Because of this problem we have attempted to overcome this problem by using nanocasting method, then we obtained surface controlled RuO2 nanopowder (SCRuO2 NP). The OER analyses of SCRuO2 NP and commercial RuO2 NP are investigated using LSV, CA in acidic condition and characterized by using XRD, TEM and SEM. |
