제목 Additive Effects in Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells Based on an Nitroxide Radical Redox Mediator
초록 Dye-sensitized solar cells (DSCs) have been interested in an alternative solar cell mostly due the rather high energy conversion efficiency and low production cost. A large body of researches on new redox coupes has been intensively conducted to overcome the limits of the most common I-/I3-. One typical example is the organic redox couple such as TEMPO (2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-1-piperidinyloxy radical). The energy conversion efficiency of DSCs was increased up to 4 % by optimizing the electrolyte composition with varying additives. The organic TEMPO gives much lower efficiency than the I-/I3- redox couple, but it may provide a clue for future directions.
