제목 Control of the Areal Density of ZnO Nanowires by Blending PS-P4VP and PS-PAA Copolymer Micelles
초록 We fabricate the density controlled ZnO nanowires (NWs) by blending two different copolymer micelles. Polystyrene-block-poly-4vinylpyridine (PS-b-P4VP) and polystyrene-block-polyacrylic acid (PS-b-PAA) micelles are blended with different ratios for the areal density control of Au nanoparticles (NPs) subsequently synthesized from hydrogen tetrachloroaurate (HAuCl4) and loaded selectively with P4VP blocks. The blended micelles with Au NPs loaded on PS-b-P4VP ones are investigated with transmission electron microscope (TEM) and Energy Dispersive Spectroscope (EDS). Due to no interdiffusion between the micelles arising from the difference in their electron affinity, the density of NPs is systematically changed with the blend ratios with PS-b-PAA micelles. ZnO NWs are grown with Au NPs embedded PS-P4VP micelles by VLS method and thus their areal density is controlled by that of Au NPs. ZnO NWs characterized with TEM, X-ray diffraction (XRD) are apparently in single crystal state.
