Characterization of mixed TIPS-pentacene and binder polymer solution-processed OTFTs |

6,13-bis(triisopropylsilylethynyl) pentacene (TIPS pentacene) is a functionalized pentacene derivative designed to enhance both the solution solubility and solid-state packing of pentacene. We have fabricated solution-processed organic thin-film transistors and devices using mixed 6,13-bis(triisopropyl-silylethynyl) pentacene (TIPS-pentacene) and binder polymer as the active semiconductor material. Three different methods were used for the TIPS-pentacene deposition. Three methods were drop casting, spin coating and inkjet printing. The mobility calculated in the saturation regime was 0.012 cm2/V s. The current modulation, which is the ratio of the current in accumulation over the current in depletion, also referred to as the Ion/Ioff, was above 104. |
