제목 Synthesis of bio-based adhesive materials from isosorbide and comparison with Bis-GMA for their photo-curing properties
초록 Carbohydrate biomass is most abundant and widely distributed feedstock and many efforts were made to transform carbohydrate into useful chemicals. In particular, isosorbide from biomass attracts attention as a promising platform to replace petroleum-based bisphenol A. In this study, we synthesized photo-curable adhesive materials from isosorbide and compared their photo-curing properties with Bis-GMA, a photo-curable adhesive material widely used ranging from electronic manufacturing to dentistry. At first, highly viscous Bis-GMA was diluted with TEGDMA in various ratios and the ratios between Bis-GMA and TEGDMA having a similar viscosity to synthetic isosorbide-derived adhesives was determined using viscometer. And each of adhesive materials is verified their feasibility of photo-curable adhesive materials using photo-DSC, linear variable differential transformer (LVDT) transducer. In addition, lap shear strength was tested and VOC emissions will be also addressed.
