Polypropylene has weak melt strength, and this behavior is serious drawback for processes like therforming, blow molding and foaming. For this reason, there have been some attempts to increase melt strength of polypropylene, and it is one of the possible routes to introduce branching onto polypropylene to make reaction between randomly fuctionalized polypropylene with polyfunctional monomer. In this study, reactive melt processing of polyfunctional monomer with PP-g-MA was carried out. Polybonds with different MA contents were reacted with diamines in batch mixer, and the thermal and rheological properties of the reacted products were measured. |
