Coloration of Various Nanomaterials through Mussel-Inspired Chemistry using Catechol-grafted Organic/Polymeric Dye |
초록 |
Mussel–Inspired Chemistry has been developed to deposit organic dyes to modify TiO2 nanoparticles. Catechol chemistry has important advantage that strong binding strength and applicable at many substances. Alizarin red S (AR) includes the Catechol ligand and shows a strong adsorption force in a variety of materials such as TiO2. AR is adsorbed on (TiO2 nanoparticle) because of complex formation of metal atoms on nanoparticle surface by two adjacent hydroxyl groups or adjacent carbonyl groups of AR. The adsorption between organic matter and inorganic matter is difficult but the use of catechol chemistry makes organic matter of AR adsorbed on inorganic matter such as photonic crystal TiO2 nanoparticle easier. |
