제목 Synthesis of acetylacetone-chelated TiO2 colloidal nanoparticles with controlled electronic properties via sol-gel chemistry
초록 Metal oxide colloidal nanomaterials play an important role in optoelectronic devices as not only active materials but also interfacial layers to promote carrier transport. Many synthetic routes have been reported over the years, including spray pyrolysis, hydrothermal, and sol-gel method. Among all, synthesis of TiO2 colloidal nanoparticles via sol-gel chemistry is especially effective, resulting in high-quality, < 10nm size particles under relatively low temperature conditions. However, conventional sol-gel methods produce TiO2 colloidal nanoparticles that are not easily re-dispersible in polar solvents due to aggregation. Re-dispersible TiO2 colloidal nanoparticles were synthesized using sol-gel chemistry under acidic aqueous media, tuning the surface charge of the products. Furthermore, acetylacetone was used as chelating agents to improve the carrier properties of TiO2 colloidal nanoparticles. As a result, hydrophilic TiO2 nanofilms with improved conductivity are demonstrated.
