Cytotoxicity study and in vitro drug release behaviors of glycosaminoglycan hydrogel system prepared by radiation technique |
초록 |
The fields of tissue engineering and biopharmaceutics provide a number of complex opportunities for the design of new implant materials. Natural polysaccharides have been extensively studied in medical applications since they can provide intrinsic biological activity. To design the artificial skin model for alternative tests to animal experiments, we synthesized hyaluronic acid (HA) and chondroitin sulfate (CS) derivatives with polymerizable residues with precise control over the substitution degree. The HA/CS-based hydrogels were prepared by using a radiation technique. To evaluate the feasibility for artificial skin substitutes, the enzymatic degradation kinetics, the drug release behaviors, drug permeability and cytotoxicity of the hydrogels were investigated. |
