제목 Enhancement of the catalytic activity of platinum particles supported on ZIF67 derived carbon/graphene oxide composites for methanol oxidation
초록 Direct methanol fuel cells have promising candidates for use as a power source in portable electric devices and electric vehicles because they have grate potential for high efficiency, zero-emission power generation. Platinum catalyst have been used as cathode and anode electrode in fuel cells. However, issues such as poor methanol oxidation kinetics, high-cost, durability of Pt-based catalyst, CO-poisoning, remain a challenge. Pt-supported on ZIF8 derived porous carbon and nitrogen-doped multi-walled carbon nanotubes composites was prepared by pyrolysis process and chemical reduction. The electrochemical characterization and morphological analysis of composites was measured by cyclic voltammetry, chronoamperometry, transmission electron microscope, and fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. These results indicate that the Pt-NCNT@CZIF8 nanocomposite showed electrochemically superior properties to methanol oxidation reaction and the higher electrochemical surface area.
