제목 Basic Study for Development of Multi-functional Adsorbent from Coal Ash
초록 The objective of this study is to develop multi-functional adsorbent which has zeolite function and activated carbon function. The raw material is bottom ash which contains about 15% unburned carbon.  The coal ash was treated with 2M NaOH and 0~2M ZnCl2 solutions. Also, the reaction time and the crystallization time were changed to 1 ~ 5 hours, respectively. And the new adsorbents were tested for the recovery properties of NH4+, PO43-, I2 and methylene blue from artificial wastewater. When the bottom ash is treated with 2M NaOH solution at reaction temperature 100 °C, reaction time 1 ~3 h, the unburned carbon in the ash is activated. Hence, the adsorption properties of I2 and methylene blue from artificial wastewater is remarkably increased. If the ash treated with NaOH and ZnCl2 solutions, the adsorption property of NH4+ is deeply decreased, but the removal capacity for PO43- is increased.
