제목 Screening of antioxidant and anti-inflammation activities from ethanol extracts of a medicinal mushroom, Mycoleptodonoides aitchisonii
초록 Mushrooms are important nutritional and therapeutic items throughout the world. Although some species of mushrooms are toxic, the pharmaceutical activities of mushrooms are well known. Among them, Mycoleptodonoides aitchisonii have been known to show an anti-diabetes effect. Furthermore, many lectins exist in M. aitchisoii, which are typically multivalent proteins that recognize and bind specific carbohydrate moieties through carbohydrate recognition domains (CRDs). In vertebrates, the role of lectins as mediators of self and non-self recognition in early development and innate immunity has been well documented. In this study, an antioxidant and anti-inflammation effects were screened. About 100 g of M. aitchisoii was extracted using 80% EtOH before partitioning using EtOAc, n-BuOH and distilled water. By open column chromatography, 3 main fractions have been obtained. For the hydrophobic fractions, total phenolics and total flavonoids were analyzed as well as DPPH, NO, and MTT assays were performed. There were no antioxidant activities in the fractions and no phenolics and no flavonoids either. But we showed the anti-inflammation effect in RAW 2647 cell.
