제목 Controlled Synthesis and Stabilization of Magnetite (Fe3O4) Nanoparticles Using an Amphiphilic Comb-like Polymer
초록 Magnetite nanoparticles (MNPs) were synthesized by controlled chemical co-precipitation method using precursors of FeCl3·6H2O and FeCl2·4H2O in alkaline medium at room temperature. In the process, amphiphilic comb-like polymer (CLP) was used to obtain the colloidal stability, biocompatibility and flexibility of functionalization of MNPs. CLP has a hydrophobic backbone for hydrophobic interaction with MNPs and hydrophilic side chains for stability in water. The flexible hydrophilic side chains containing poly (ethylene glycol) prevent to aggregate between particles, and increase the stability and biocompatibility of colloidal solution. The interaction between MNPs and CLP was characterized using FT-IR. The particle size and morphology of the MNPs were determined by DLS and TEM. The colloidal stability of MNPs dispersion in water was investigated by long-term observation of the dispersion using UV-visible spectrometry. The biocompatibility of MNPs was characterized by MTT assay.
