The Effect of Porosity in Silicon/Carbon Multi-core/Shell Microparticles by using Solution Polymerization for The High Performance anode material of Li-ion Battery |

In this study, it was investigated the effect of porosity in multi-core silicon/carbon microparticles on the electrochemical properties for the Li-ion battery. Silicon/carbon multi-core microparticles were prepared via carbonization of the silicon/polyacrylonitrile (PAN) particles produced by solution polymerization. The porosity and pore volume were controlled by copolymerization of PAN and various contents of polystyrene. Morphology of Silicon/carbon multi-core microparticles was observed by utilizing scanning electron microscope. The cycleability and the specific capacity were investigated after the fabrication of coin-type cell with silicon/carbon multi-core microparticles. |
