Diclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) showing potent anti-inflammatory, analgesic and anti-pyretic activities. However, it has several side effects such as acute kidney failure, bone marrow depression, and liver damage. Therefore, in order to develop the advanced drug compared to diclofenac, the phosphonic acid analogs of diclofenac were efficiently synthesized from 2-aminobenzyl alcohol. Triazole derivatives of these phosphonic acids were prepared using Arbuzov reaction and click chemistry in good yields. |
