In the present work, we studied the effects of the addition of dimer acid salts on the morphology of poly(styrene-co-methacrylate) and poly(methyl methacrylate- co-methacrylate) ionomers using scanning elecrton microscope and x-ray diffraction techniques. From the analysis of SEM images, we obtained the information on the micro-scale morphological features of the ionomer blends containing 5, 10, 20, and 30 % dimer acid sodium salts. On the other hand, the information on nano-scale morphology of ionomer blends was collected using x-ray scattering results. |
