The purpose of this study is development of bone fixation devices with flexible property and evaluation of biodegradable properties. In this study L-Lactide/ε-Caprolacton copolymers(PLCL) with minor ε-Caprolacton contents were investigated. Vacuum compression molding and solid-state extrusion technique were employed for the minimization of molecular degradation and the improvement of mechanical properties of PLCL. On the basis of the measurements of crystallinity, mechanical property of extruded PLCL, effects of draw ratio and contents of ε-Caprolacton on the mechanical properties of PLCL were discussed. Extruded plates were prepared for in vitro. PLCL plates were immersed in a solution of phosphate buffer solution(pH7.0 37℃±0.5℃). The in vitro degradation of PLCL was discussed by measurement of DSC, viscosity, Instron. Also we made a comparison between PLCL and PLLA properties respectively |
