제목 A study on sulfonated and nonsulfonated polysulfone composite membrane for direct methanol fuel cells
초록 The Direct Methanol Fuel Cell (DMFC) is considered to be powerful application for small and portable devices such as laptop computer battery and cellular phone battery because of the low operating temperature, simple structure, etc. However, in actual system, methanol permeates through the membrane and causes “Methanol Crossover” which serves as negative effect for DMFC since it lowers fuel efficiency. In order to solve this problem, there occurred to blend sulfonated polysulfone copolymer with non-sulfonated polysulfone. Through blending, it is considered that methanol crossover will be reduced remarkably. By varying blending ratio and drying condition, different phase separated morphologies were observed and studied.
