Because of global warming and energy shortage for internal combustion engine in current vehicles, development of the vehicle that has higher fuel efficiency and less emission is a general trend. Fuel cell hybrid electric vehicle (FCHEV) is one of the most promising technologies for higher fuel efficiency and less emissions. FCHEV is equipped with two power sources.This study optimal control approach for power split system of FCHEV. The optimization problem is formulated with constraints respect to characteristic such as physical limit of fuel cell and battery. In UDDS pattern, this optimization problem was solved using dynamic programming. In order to develop real-time optimal control approach, the strategy that Pontryagin’s minimum principle combine with dynamic programming is proposed. This strategy is able to reduce fuel consumption and avoid deviation of state of charge. |
