제목 Process design for indium recovery using bipolar membrane electrodialysis stystem
초록 This study aims to evaluate the effect of indium absorbent(VSB-5) and BEDI (bipolar membrane electro-dialysis deionization) module on indium ion desorption process for the recovery of metal ions. The factors that influence metal ion recovery are evaluated in reference to the pH, voltage, relative flow rates and number of bipolar membrane sheets to present the optimal conditions. The research findings show that the lower pH is, the higher desorption rate and the desorption is started from pH 3. It is the most efficient when the voltage is 6.5V for each sheet of membrane. For the last, the desorption rate is higher when the flow rate of desorption cell is lower than the flow rate of concentration cell. The desorption efficiency of electrical process was higher than that of chemical process at the same pH.
