In this study, we have effectively reduced the graphene material using commercially available plasma apparatus. In specific, lyophilized graphene oxide architectures are reduced by a short plasma treatment (<2 seconds) under atmospheric conditions, resulting in 3-dimensional web-like graphene architecture. Additionally, the degree of reduction is easily controlled by an applied plasma power of the apparatus and optimized power level for effective reduction is found. As-synthesized graphene architecture shows a high reduction degree with unique structure of crack-like mesopores created on a corrugated graphene sheets. Noticeably, this mesoporous plasma reduced graphene oxide web (mPrGO web) exhibits high electrical conductivity (87 S cm-1) and increased surface area (642 m2 g-1), resulting in outstanding specific capacitance as high as 253.8 F g-1. |
