제목 Facile and green synthesis of nano and sub-nano electrochemical catalysts by physical vapor deposition on soluble powder substrate
초록    In this study, we present a novel, facile and totally green approach toward the synthesis of atom or nanoparticle electrochemical catalyst by PVD with water soluble powder, glucose. PVD is employed for the facile preparation of various metal atom or NP, including noble metals, alloys, and transition-metal (oxides). In this strategy, glucose act as not only carrier for the transport of metal atom or nanoparticle from the bulk materials to the support surfaces but also stabilizer through their OH moieties of the glucose surfaces, which prevent the agglomeration of atoms and NPs during the synthesis process. This strategy can be extended to prepare atoms or NPs on a range of supports, such as carbon nanotubes, graphene oxide, and TiO2, thereby demonstrating its generality Furthermore, the prepared catalysts exhibited an improved activity for various electrochemical reactions, mainly attributed to their high surface area.
