Zeolitic imidazolate frameworks derived hollow Co-B-O@Co3O4 as an efficient catalyst for electrochemical oxygen evolution reaction |
초록 |
Development of highly efficient and cost effective catalyst for electrochemical oxygen evolution reaction (OER) is a major challenge for water splitting. Here, we introduce a cobalt-borate modified cobalt oxide composite (denoted Co-B-O@Co3O4) electrocatalyst derived from zeolitic imidazolate frameworks (ZIFs) for OER. As prepared Co-B-O@Co3O4 was synthesized via calcination-NaBH4 treatment process to maximize the catalyst’s performance. The unique polyhedral morphology was still protected after the fabrication process. Benefiting from its unique structure and chemical composition, as prepared catalyst exhibited excellent activity and long-term stability for OER in alkaline medium. Our investigation can be an insight for catalyst modification to enhance the performance while keeping its structure simultaneously. The ZIFs derived electrochemical catalyst can be recognized as a promising method for producing highly active and novel engineered electrocatalyst for OER application. |
