An enzyme-free glucose sensor has been developed using a functionalized MWCNT-Nafion composite film electrode . In this study, we performed the functionalization of MWCNT (F-MWCNT) by radiation-induced polymerization of 4-vinylphenylboronic acid (VPBAc). Boronic acids are known to interact with cyanide, fluoride, and diols and have been used in sensor development. Boronic acids on surface of MWCNT are respond with diol group of glucose. So F-MWCNT-Nafion electrode is detect glucose without enzyme. The sensor has high sensitivity, good selectivity, stability, and reproducibility. |
