제목 A Novel Synthesis of Silver Nanoparticles Using 1-(2-Hydroxyethyl)-2-pyrrolidone and Their Applications with PEBAX®2533 for Facilitated Olefin Transport Membranes
초록 Facilitated transport phenomenon using carrier, which interacts with specific solute selectively and reversibly, can give arise to drastic improvement of membrane performance. Among them, facilitated olefin transport membranes using Ag nanoparticles (AgNPs) as an olefin carrier and PVP (poly(vinylpyrrolidone)) as a polymer matrix have been interestingly investigated with significantly high selectivity of propylene/propane mixtures.  
In this presentation, a simple and novel method for Ag NPs formation has been developed using 1-(2-hydroxyethyl)-2-pyrrolidone (HEP). HEP, which has hydroxyl and pyrrolidone functional group in single molecule, helps Ag precursor be made as uniform Ag NPs only by simple stirring process. The as-prepared AgNPs could be applied in high-permeable polymer matrix such as PEBAX®2533 to improve permeability of facilitated olefin transport membranes for propylene/paraffin mixtures.
