제목 Measurement of Specific Cell-Polymer Interactions Using FRET and FCS techniques
초록 we investigated specific interactions between cells and ligand-modified polymers using FRET and FCS techniques. Sodium alginate was chemically modified with a peptide with the sequence of RGD that was labelled with Alexa Fluor 488 carboxylic acid succinimidyl ester. Cells were stained with octadecyl rhodamine B and mixed with an alginate solution, and changes of fluorescence intensity occurred by FRET were measured at 488 nm using a fluorometer. The diffusion-correlation results of cell/polymer mixtures were obtained by FCS. FRET and FCS methods were useful to investigate specific interactions between cells and polymers both in qualitative and quantitative manner.
