Hydrogel mask packs are attracting cosmetic materials due to it’s high elasticity and penetration properties of oxygen and nourishment that essentially need for skin. In this study, the physical properties of mask packs using natural materials such as ceratonia siliqua gum, agarose, gelatin, carrageenan, xanthan gum and cotton have been investigated. When carrageenan was added, tensile strength of the sample was increased significantly. In comparsion, agarose, gelatin, xanthan gum have no effect or slightly decreased their tensile strength. Cotton was also an effective natural material increasing tensile strength 20% more than mask pack sample without cotton. |
