Hyaluronic acid has excellent biocompatibility and biodegradability, it has been widely applied not only treatment of moisturizer, skin ulcer, burn, and wound but also anti-adhesion agents. Furfuryl-Hyaluronic acid (F-HA) derivative was prepared for anti-adhesion. In this study, to sustain the biocompatibility of hyaluronic acid and increase the stationary time of the body, a physical film was formed by introducing a furfuryl group, which causes visible light reaction. F-HA introduced furfuryl group is photo-crosslinked with the photo-initiator. In order to evaluate the potential applicability of F-HA as an adhesion agent, it should be confirmed by cytotoxicity test, anti-adhesion test and cell penetration test. F-HA will be used as an anti-adhesion agent through in vivo test. In addition, these derivatives purpose to immobilize ibuprofen and develop anti-adhesion membranes that are capable of sustained drug release. |
