In this study, valsartan has high bioavailability. Even though valsartan has high bioavailability, it can bring about headaches, dizziness and dyspnea. We prepared sustained-release of valsartan by wet granule method. This wet granule tablet was formulated by using the various excipients such as mannitol, lactose, starch and microcrystalline cellulose(MCC). DSC was used to analyze the amorphous of granule. FT-IR was used to analyze chemical structure of molecule between valsartan and excipient. The in vitro tests was carried out to find character of dissolution of valsartan granule tablet in intestinal juice and controlled experiment was carried out to compare valsartan granule with conventional drugs(DiovanⓇ). The in vitro test found sustain-release of valsartan granule tablet. These studies showed sustained-release of granule valsartan tablet by excipient, valsartan as orally pharmaceutical sustained-release formulation. This research was supported by WCU (R31-20029). |
