Graphene, a single layer of sp2 bonded 2-dimensional carbon sheet with honey comb lattice, is the family of carbon materials. Due to its unique structure, graphene shows remarkable properties such as good electrical and thermal conductivities, high electron mobility and strength. As a result, various methods, such as the Scotch tape (peel-off) method, epitaxial growth on SiC, chemical vapor deposition (CVD) and exfoliation of graphite oxide, have been developed to produce graphene. However, these methods have a difficult to prepare the mass production. Among those methods, solvothermal synthesis has a big advantage to synthesize graphene in large quantity. Graphene is produced by tetrachloride methane and potassium via Wurtz reaction. The reaction condition was optimized and heteroatom-doped graphene was prepared and electrocatalytic activity of graphene was investigated. |
