제목 Nickel-Catalyzed Hydrogenolysis of Pentaerithritol Tetrakis(biphenylsulfonate)susing iso-propyl magnesium chloride
초록 Pentaerithritol tetrakis(biphenylsulfonate)s reacted with iso-propyl magnesium chlorideto producevarious arene derivatives by using a nickel catalyst. This reaction proceededin great selectivity and conversion for the reducted product. Highest yield was obtained by using three equivalents of Grignard reagent topentaerithritol tetrakis(biphenylsulfonate)s inthe presence of dppfNiCl2at roomtemperature. This reaction represents a novel method allowing the efficient hydrogenolysis of sulfur-containing groups in aromatic compounds. THF showed the highest efficiency among common etherial solvents.
