Surface modification of polyehtersulfone hollow fiber membrane using layer-by-layer nanocoating method |
초록 |
Polyethersulfoene(PES) hollow fiber membrane was surface modified for application as a separation membrane to recover water vapor from the flue gas. Hydrophilic sulfonated PES(SPES) was prepared by introducing a sulfonic acid group in PES structure and was used for the layer-by-layer(LbL) coatingsolution with polyallyaminehydrochloride(PAH). The surface characteristics of the modified PES membranes were observed by XPS, SEM, ζ-potential and contact angle measurements. Water vapor permeance and water vapor/N2 selectivity of the modified PES hollow fiber membranes were conducted. The formation of hydrophilic nano-coating layer on the surface of PES hollow fiber membranes by LbL coating method led to significantly lowered contact angle and water vapor permeance was improved. As a result, the PES hollow fiber membrane could be the most successfully surface-modified by LbL coating method for enhancing their surface hydrophilicity and water vapor permenance |
