Here, we present the fabrication and characterization of bioelectrochemical sensor for organophosphate chemicals based on reduced graphene oxide (RGO)/ionic liquid (IL) composite electrode. Transmission electron microscope was used to investigate the morphology of RGO and RGO/IL, showing the flakelike shapes. The peak-to-peak potential separation and formal potential of RGO/IL composite electrode was reduced relative to those of the bare gold electrode. The electrocatalytic activity of organophosphorus hydrolase immobilized on the surface of electrode was investigated by detecting the hydrolysis product of paraoxon in a range of 220 μM at amperometry measurement. The corresponding calibration plots show the high sensitivity. This report not only paves a new way to electrocatalysis, bio-electrochemistry, and advanced electrochemical electrode preparation but also could be applied to various electrochemical biosensors. |
