제목 Preperation of hydrophilic porphyrin-metal conjugate for efficient singlet oxygen generation
초록 Hydrophilic porphyrin is an attractive photosensitizer for photodynamic therapy applications. We synthesized a new class of water-soluble porphyrin conjugate possessing triethylene glycol dendron and metal ligand such as picolylamine and have investigated the effect of heavy metal insertion on the singlet oxygen generation. Triethylene glycol dendron imparts water-solubility for their potential use as sensitizers in PDT. The results demonstrate that the insertion of metal ions (Pd, Zn, Hg, etc.) in the water-soluble porphyrin conjugates enhances the efficiency of intersystem crossing for triplet excited state and singlet oxygen generation.
