Core-shell micro-particles of poly(methyl methacrylate)/graphene prepared with a graphene as a Pickering stabilizer |
초록 |
Two types of thermally reduced graphenes (TRGs) having different lateral sizes were non-covalently modified with poly(vinyl alcohol) to endow water-dispersibility. The non-covalently modified TRGs were examined as a Pickering stabilizer for the suspension polymerization of methyl methacrylate (MMA). Almost all of the polymerized micro-particles have a regular spherical shape with little distortion. The particle size of the micro-particles was tunable by the lateral size of TRG or by the amount of modified TRG used as a stabilizer. The core-shell micro-particles, when compression molded into a monolith, exhibited an ultra-low percolation threshold of electrical conductivity of as low as 0.04 vol%. |
