Layer-by-layer assembly technique is that the preparation of layered polymeric ultrathin films using oppositely charged polyelectrolytes dissolved in solvents. Thin films containing of weak polyelectrolytes that were assembled at different pH conditions result in having different morphologies. This pH control often provides creation of various surface properties such as wetting, morphology, polymer composition and biomolecular interactions of the films. In this study, we fabricated PEM films that contain either metal nanoparticles or electro-active components. Combining micro-patternability using polyelectrolyte, cell-stimuli surfaces created. |
