Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) has focused on the development of cost-effective and gains good conversion of efficiency. Recently, lead-based PSCs achieved power conversion efficiencies (PCE) exceeding 22%. But, commercialization of lead-based PSCs is limited owing to its toxicity to environment. So, it is challenging to develop Pb-free PSCs to find human friendly applications such as BIPVs (building integrated photovoltaics) and VIPVs (vehicle integrated photovoltaics). Here, we devised thermally stable planar Pb-free Cs3Bi2I9 PSCs composed to glass/ITO/ZnO/Cs3Bi2I9/CuI/Au as the transparent substrate, transparent conducting electrode, electron-transporting layer, light absorption layer, hole-transporting layer, and counter electrode, respectively. The planar Cs3Bi2I9 PSCs maintained their initial efficiency following heat treatment at 200oC in air due to the high thermal stability of CuI, whereas Cs3Bi2I9 PSCs with a PTAA hole-transporting layer exhibited a rapid degradation in PCE |
