제목 | High-rate sodium storage in boron-doped carbon coated Li4Ti5O12 anode materials |
초록 | As for the anode side for sodium-ion batteries(SIBs), lithium titanate (Li4Ti5O12, LTO) is expected to be a promising anode material in SIBs due to the outstanding performances such as stable cycle-life, safety aspect, etc. However, The main disadvantage of using LTO for Na+-ion batteries is the sluggish kinetics of insertion of Na+ ions into the structure. Here, we introduce boron-doped carbon coated LTO obtained by low-cost and facile one-pot wet-chemical method. Boron acts as a positive-type dopant because it possesses the fewer electrons than the carbon. Boron-doping in carbon matrix were confirmed by XPS analysis remarkably create abundant extraneous defects and active sites. So as to confirm the boron-doping effects in SIBs, electrochemical evaluation was conducted with rate-capability and cycle tests at room temperature. Boron-doped carbon coated LTO was compared to not only carbon coated LTO but also pristine LTO sample through electrodes applied in sodium-ion cells. |
