제목 Fluorescence Turn-On Response of Conjugated Polyelectrolyte with Intramolecular Stack Structure to Biomacromolecules
초록 A novel conjugated polyelectrolyte based on polydiphenylacetylene (PDPA) derivative with intramolecular stack structure (IaSS) was synthesized by a polymer reaction through sulfonation. The sulfonated poly(diphenylacetylene) (SPDPA) dissolved in water quite well due to the hydrophilic sulfonate groups. The fluorescence (FL) emission of SPDPA in the aqueous solution was weaker and the FL emission band shifted to red relative to that of parent polymer in toluene solution. When proteins, such as lysozyme and BSA, were added to the aqueous solution of SPDPA, these biomolecules acted as a surfactant between SPDPA and water, the FL emission was enhanced dramatically and blue-shifted. Therefore, this protein-induced FL response is addressed to FL ‘Turn-On’ type signal transduction towards biomacromolecules.
