제목 Effect of Maleic Anhydride-grafted Polypropylene and Acid Treatment on Mechanical Properties of Basalt Fibers-reinforced Polypropylene Composites
초록 The basalt fibers/polypropylene composites have incomplete mechanical properties because basalt fibers have poor interfacial adhesion with polypropylene due to their imperfect interface. To improve the interfacial adhesion between basalt fibers and polypropylene (PP) resins, the effect of maleic anhydride-grafted polypropylene (MAPP) and surface treatment on mechanical properties of basalt fibers-reinforced polypropylene composites was investigated. The mechanical interfacial properties of the composites were characterized using contact angle, surface tensionmeter, and KIC  measurements. Morphologies of fracture surfaces of the composites were measured by SEM.
