제목 A comparison with Characterization between PET/pristine MMT and Modified MMT Nanocomposites by using in-situ polymerization
초록 PET/pristine and modified montmorillonite nanocomposites were prepared by in-situ method and were investigated thermal, mechanical and morphological properties. Clay contents in nanocomposites were 0.5 wt%, 1 wt%, 2 wt%, 5 wt% respectively. Crystallization rate was measured by DSC. The PET nanocomposites with PET/pristine-MMT is higher crystallization temperature than modified-MMT/PET. This results prove that pristine MMT enhances the crystallization rate of hybrids better than modified MMT as nucleating agents. PET/modified MMT nanocomposites were observed higher mechnical properties than pristine/MMT in same clay contents. Espacially, when the modified MMT was 0.5wt% in polymer matrix, mechanical properties is the greastest ability. XRD graph could show interlayer spacing of clay in PET/pristine and modified MMT nanocomposites. The modified/MMT were well dispersed in PET matrix better than Pristine/MMT. This result was confirmed by SEM and TEM micrographs.
